Advancing Nurse Coaching at the NBNA Annual Conference: Empowering Black Nurses for a Healthier Future
At Advancing Nurse Coaching, we’re committed to empowering nurses to lead with resilience, wisdom, and compassion in their practice. That’s why we’re excited to announce our attendance at the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) Annual Conference, a cornerstone event for Black nurses across the country. This year’s conference, August 5-10, 2025, promises to be a transformative gathering, and we’re thrilled to be part of this vibrant community dedicated to advancing health equity and professional excellence.

About the NBNA Annual Conference
The NBNA Annual Conference is a flagship event that brings together Black nurses, healthcare professionals, and advocates to address critical issues in nursing and healthcare. Founded in 1971, the NBNA represents over 200,000 Black nurses and is committed to improving the health of underserved communities through education, advocacy, and professional development. Each year, the conference serves as a dynamic platform for networking, learning, and collaboration, offering workshops, plenary sessions, and exhibits that focus on health disparities, leadership, and innovative nursing practices.
The conference typically features a robust lineup of speakers, including nursing leaders, researchers, and policymakers, who address topics like chronic disease management, mental health, and cultural competency in patient care. Attendees can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participate in hands-on workshops, and engage with exhibitors showcasing the latest in healthcare technology and resources. The NBNA also celebrates the achievements of its members through awards ceremonies, recognizing those who have made significant contributions to nursing and community health.
Our Role: Connecting Through Nurse Coaching
While we’re still finalizing the details, we’re excited to attend this year’s NBNA Annual Conference to connect with Black nurses and share the transformative power of nurse coaching. Our team will be on-site to engage with attendees, offering insights into how nurse coaching can support nurses in overcoming burnout, enhancing patient care, and fostering resilience. By integrating the Principles of Resilience—Mind, Consciousness, and Thought—we’ll explore how nurse coaching empowers nurses to tap into their inner wisdom, creating a more balanced and impactful approach to their work.
This conference aligns perfectly with our mission at Advancing Nurse Coaching to support nurses in underserved communities. We’re eager to learn from the NBNA community, share our expertise, and collaborate on strategies to address health disparities and promote wellness among Black patients and nurses alike. Whether through informal conversations at our booth or participation in conference sessions, we’re committed to contributing to the NBNA’s vision of a healthier future for all.
Why This Conference Matters
