We’re honored to be invited to the Health as Expanding Consciousness (HEC) Theory Dialogue on May 22-23, 2025 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Nursing.
Exploring Health, Healing, and Consciousness: Advancing Nurse Coaching at the UTHSC Nursing Theory Conference
At Advancing Nurse Coaching, we’re dedicated to empowering nurses to tap into their inner wisdom and transform healthcare through holistic, patient-centered practices. That’s why we’re thrilled to join the intimate, think tank–style Nursing Theory Conference hosted by the Dr. Margaret A. Newman Center for Nursing Theory at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, TN. This unique event brings together visionary nurses and scholars to explore the deeper dimensions of health, healing, and consciousness, and we’re excited to be part of this transformative experience!
About the Nursing Theory Conference
The Nursing Theory Conference, organized by the Dr. Margaret A. Newman Center for Nursing Theory at UTHSC’s College of Nursing, is a powerful space for nurses to dive into the theoretical foundations that shape our profession. The Center, part of UTHSC’s broader mission to improve human health through education, research, and clinical care, is committed to advancing nursing theory to enhance practice and education. This conference provides a platform for thought leaders to explore how concepts like health, healing, and consciousness can redefine nursing care, emphasizing the role of insight and inner wisdom in fostering meaningful patient connections.
UTHSC, established in 1911, is a leader in healthcare education, with its College of Nursing recognized for innovative programs and research. The Center for Community and Global Partnerships, which houses the Dr. Margaret A. Newman Center, was established in 2016 to foster collaboration and advance nursing knowledge. This conference aligns with UTHSC’s legacy of focusing on contemporary health topics through research and education, making it an ideal setting for nurses to reflect on the deeper aspects of their practice.
Our Role: Elevating Nurse Coaching
We’re excited to participate in this year’s conference, where we’ll be engaging with fellow nurses and scholars to explore how nurse coaching can amplify the role of insight and inner wisdom in nursing practice. Through our involvement, we’ll share how nurse coaching empowers nurses to connect with patients on a deeper level, using the Principles of Resilience—Mind, Consciousness, and Thought—to foster healing and well-being. Our approach complements the conference’s focus by offering practical tools for nurses to integrate theoretical insights into their daily work, creating a more compassionate and effective care environment.
This event is a powerful space to elevate the role of nurse coaching in modern healthcare. By engaging in discussions with visionary thinkers, we aim to highlight how coaching can bridge the gap between nursing theory and practice, helping nurses navigate the complexities of patient care while prioritizing their own resilience and self-care.
Why This Conference Matters
The Nursing Theory Conference is a rare opportunity for nurses to step back from the demands of daily practice and reflect on the deeper dimensions of their work. It’s a space to explore how concepts like consciousness and healing can transform the way we care for patients, moving beyond traditional medical models to embrace a more holistic understanding of health. For nurses passionate about advancing their practice, this conference offers a chance to connect with like-minded professionals, share ideas, and gain new perspectives that can inspire lasting change.
The intimate, think tank–style format ensures meaningful dialogue and collaboration, fostering an environment where innovative ideas can flourish. As the UTHSC College of Nursing continues to lead in areas like rural healthcare, stroke, and sickle cell disease (as noted in their 2024 Areas of Excellence), this conference underscores the importance of grounding such advancements in a strong theoretical framework. For us at NurseCoaching.com, it’s a chance to contribute to this dialogue and advocate for the transformative power of nurse coaching.
We invite you to join us to explore the deeper dimensions of health, healing, and consciousness. Connect with our team to learn how nurse coaching can elevate your practice and enhance patient care through insight and inner wisdom. Together, we can shape the future of nursing by embracing a more holistic, compassionate approach to healthcare.
